Why it is called Aplomb
From the French à plomb — “to the plumb line”: upright, balanced, not rattled. Every other app in this category names the conquest. This one names composure, because that is what you actually want to walk into the conversation with.
What Aplomb does not do
- It does not rate your photos or rewrite your dating profile.
- It does not hand you a line and leave you there. It reads the screenshot and shows you what you could say — but if it does not sound like you, you talk it through. You never have to send a sentence you do not understand.
- It is not therapy, and not a substitute for a real relationship.
- It cannot promise an outcome. Nobody honestly can.

Does it read my messages?
Only what you choose to type or paste into the chat. Aplomb has no access to
your phone’s messaging apps.
Who sees my conversations?
They are sent to our server and on to the AI provider that produces the reply.
They are not sold and not used for advertising. The
privacy policy names exactly which provider handles what.
Is it the same app as Sevio?
No. Sevio is a companion you talk with. Aplomb is a coach for a specific
situation you are trying to handle.
